A tour of the Advanced workspace

The Advanced workspace is for people who want to control every detail. It shows the same project as Simple, with more tools on screen.

What you see

• Viewer with timecode you can type into.
• Timeline with a magnetic primary storyline, connected tracks above it and audio lanes below, with waveforms.
• Inspector for transform, crop, opacity, colour, speed and audio.
• Scopes with a luma histogram, to check exposure.
• Markers to flag moments on the timeline.

Keyboard first

Most things have a key. J, K and L play backwards, pause and play forwards. I and O set in and out points. B picks the blade. See Keyboard shortcuts.

Back to Simple

Press Tab at any time. Anything you made in Advanced stays in the project.
