Text and titles

Add titles, style them, and choose how they arrive and leave.

Updated 7 October 2026

Add a title

Open Text, choose a style and click to add it at the playhead. Double-click the text in the viewer to type.

Style it

Choose font, size, weight, colour, alignment, shadow and outline. Drag the text in the viewer to place it. Keep important words away from the very edges of the frame, as some networks cover them with their own buttons.

Animation

Pick an in animation and an out animation, and how long each lasts. Fade, slide and rise are all there. Short, soft animations tend to look best.

The same on screen and in the file

Kaptcho draws titles once and uses the same drawing for the preview and the export. What you see in the viewer is what you get in the finished video.

Advanced

In the Advanced workspace you can also animate text with keyframes.
