Transitions

A transition softens the change from one clip to the next.

Add one

1. Click the cut between two clips.
2. Open Transitions and choose one, such as Dissolve, Wipe, Push or Dip to black.
3. Drag the edge of the transition to make it longer or shorter.

Handles

A transition needs a little extra footage on each side of the cut. If a clip has none to spare, Kaptcho tells you and shortens the transition to fit.

Good habits

• A plain cut is often the best choice.
• Keep transitions short, around half a second.
• Use the same one throughout a video for a calm, consistent feel.

Remove

Select the transition and press Delete.
