Audio: levels, fades and loudness
Waveforms, gain, pan, fades and a loudness target on export.
See your sound
Clips show waveforms, so you can spot a loud bang or a quiet gap. Advanced shows audio lanes under the timeline.
Level
Drag the level line on a clip, or use the gain control in the inspector. Keep speech clear and steady, and music lower beneath it.
Fades
Drag the fade handles at the start or end of a clip. A short fade at each end avoids clicks.
Pan
Move a sound left or right in the inspector.
Loudness
When you export, Kaptcho can level the whole mix to a loudness target, so your video does not sound too quiet or too loud next to others on the same network.
Keyframes
Use keyframes on volume to dip music under a voice and bring it back.
