Missing media and relinking

Kaptcho remembers where each file lives. If you move, rename or unplug it, clips show as missing.

Relink

1. Click a missing clip and choose Relink.
2. Pick the file or the folder it now lives in.
3. Kaptcho recognises the file by its contents, not only its name, so it can find the right one and offer to relink the others in the same folder.

An external drive

Plug the drive back in. Missing clips usually come back by themselves.

A cloud project

Open the project from Cloud projects and Kaptcho downloads media that is not on this computer.

Prevent it

Keep your media in one folder for each project, and do not rename it while a project is open.
